Experience
Learning Design Research Methodologies has taught me a lot about what research methodologies are and how to do it by using the topic based on our specialization to prepare us before we took specialization in next semester. At first task which is research proposal, I am find a difficulty to searched on the topic because I have no idea what I would like to do. UI/UX mostly talk about applications or websites, so I looked at most applications I always used and finally my choices are Spotify because many people use that, and it would be easier for me to collect the data later. On task 2: Critical review, I did some analysis of the articles, and this task was challenging since I did not like to read a long article, I learned to do skimming and scanning to help me got the main point of the articles. Last, which is task 3: Primary Data, I got to experienced interviewing person, which is my weakness to talks with others. When I did the interview, I felt exhausted, but I had to collect the data, and luckily the answer was helpful to me. From this task, I learned that interviewing is not a bad choice because I got a chance to improve my weaknesses.

Observation
From Task 1 until Task 3, I observed that Feedback from the lecturer was helpful to improving my task. I was able to correct and fix the problem from the research. From Ms. Yip, I got to learn and got a better understanding of the task from the briefing. I searched on many sources from previous students and observed their work to acknowledge the structure used and how they could collect the data and analyze it. Especially for task 3, I also observed that one question had various answers and it was astonishing to see a different viewpoint on the topic of emotional design on Spotify features.

Findings
I found that doing a research paper requires a lot of browsing, observation and reading. For some people who did not like literature, it should be difficult and need a lot of patience. On task 1, I found that there were many websites that would give references such as google scholar and Taylor's library. It was very useful for me especially by Sudeep Sharma from Linkoping University “Humanize Music” in google scholar that had a nice structure and informative. While on task 2, I found that all articles provided clear information about the case study used, deeper meaning of the Don Norman theories of emotional design and the impact on UI and UX. On collection data part, I choose Interview and Visual Analysis method because it was suitable to analysis the Spotify features and understand it in different point of view. While in the Interview method, I discovered that I might add more questions especially asking how the features could give a function or impact by the users. Since I’m doing this quickly, I did not prepare for it well. If I had a change on the next research module, I would be improving the interview questions and skills.
