TASK 1 - DISSERTATION DRAFT
27/09/2024 - 15/11/2024 WEEK 01 - WEEK 08
We were tasked to create a draft dissertation using the previous topic from Design Research Methodologies Module. The draft dissertation should contains the following part instructed in MIB :
- Introduction
- Literature Preview
- Research Methodologies
- Result/Findings
- Analysis / Discussion
- Conclusion
- Project Design Recommendation
- References List / Picture Credit List
- Appendix
On the first week, we had to start the Introduction until the literature review. Mr. Asrizal gave us some sample of past student works and we could create a literature matrix to organize and compare each research paper and collecting the main information to support our research. We continue working on the draft dissertation until finished during week 4-7 since there's a consultation week.

Throught this task, we inserted our work to turnitin and improved what had been written by AI and from others research paper (Similarity).

We had the same timelines on this task with the task 2. By the next week after indenpendent learning week, we had to come up with the moodboard ideas of our visual publication. My research topic was about Spotify Wrapped and Discover, so I tend to grab the elements based on it's official design.

Once we finished the visual publication, we now continue with the final which is to adapt our research into article publication. We may have to come out with the new title, focusing on specific research questions.

REFLECTIONS
Learning Research Dissertation was such a challenging and mixed feeling for me. At first, I got no hope since we continue our methodologies topic, which I did not got a good marks on these modules so I was pessimistic on what happened to this module too.
Moving on to the task 1, I do enjoy writing especially writing fictions or story but when it comes to writing research paper, it was not easy as writing fictions. I found it hard when I want to connect each of the sentences, but it turns out to a nonsense words. As a result, I use AI to help me built a good sentences.
As for the task 2, it was the scariest task for me as we're gonna having a high risk if our similarity and AI surpass the percentage limits. Next, task 3 is my favourite task definitely. I got a chance to learn Indesign tools and publish visual book. Same with the last task, it is not really hard and I could do it without any problem.
At last, Big thanks to my lecturer, Mr. Asrizal that always standby in the teams whenever we want to ask for feedback. All of his feedback were useful and I could tell that he is tried his best to guide all the students. Hopefully I could do better to improving my research if I got to working on the research paper again. This module was a good starting point probably and I'm grateful for what I have learned and done. It's not only taught me to write a research but it also taught me on creativity to visualise what have been written on the dissertation. ദ്ദി
