WEEKLY PROGRESS
Week 01 - Module Briefing & Team Arrangements
For the first week, Miss Anis brief us on what are we gonna do for this module. We were divided into 4 teams which are Logistic, Media, Design and Marketing and each of the team consist of 5 people.

For me, I choose Media team and actually it was a new thing for me so I decided to give a try for this activities. My team consist of 5 members which are Edita as a group leader, Terence, Annika, Caitlin and Me. Our task is to plan the reels and took a control for the instagram account of the exhibition. We are gonna do the photoshoot and video editing as well.
At the end of week 1, all classes have finalized our theme for the exhibition which is "Hatcha", inspired on Gachapon concept.
Week 02 - Creating the Storyboard
From week 1, we were instructed to do a storyboard for reels and post to promote the event and make the audiences curious about what's going on. I have browsed some ideas in instagram and youtube on how to plan this things.

Miss Anis also posted the individual task we need to do which is digital portfolio. We need to compile all project we have done before, find a theme that suit our portfolio along with the CV content.
Week 03 - Photoshoot Planning + Individual Portfolio
This time, I was assigned with a new task which is to create a photoshoot schedule for each department using spreadsheet.

After finishing the group task, I did start my individual task by start to compile all the moodboard references and look for my linkedin as a CV Content.

Week 04 - Hatcha Photoshoot
This week we have scheduled a photoshoot in studio for instagram post later. I come to studio at 15 & 16 October. For media and admin team, we took a shoot at 15th, and the rest of department take a photo on 16th.
Most of the photos were taken by Edita as she have experiences using camera before. I do help annika took a BTS for the photoshoot and check the status for who has done took the photo or not.

All of department leaders have a presentation / pitch by this week, and in 15/10, I and Edita have discussed about the photoshoot visual and Edita edited some pictures to see how it looks like.

Once all the photos are taken, Edita send it all to me as I need to organize the photo later on.
Week 05 - Compile Assets from Design Team & Hatcha Photos
This time we have received design assets from design team and I was tasked to help some of my department members (Terence) to import the assets so she can start creating the animation video.

And then, I created a new board and arranges all the photos based on department name and their name. I pass this part to Annika later so she can works to remove the background images.

Week 06 - Individual Portfolio
This week I focused more on my individual CV planning along with my portfolio. We already got an assets from design team but it's not finalized yet and the design team leader showed to us the exhibition poster so we can provide feedback to her regarding on what needs to be improved.

Week 07 - Hatcha Reels Progress
This week I focused to work on Media content for our instagram. Edita have opened the instagram account for this week
@hatcha.tds. We have post some content for intro phase (coming soon).
My part is to do the gachapon reels animation for reels and will be posted on week 8. First, I do refine my storyboard to give a detailed scene on what I need to animate. I also listed the elements I will be using from the design team.

After that I move to AI to create the scenes and export it as PNG later into after effect.

This is the preview when I start moving my assets into AE. Once I have moved all object, I began to animate all of it.

It's been a long time when I use After Effect so I'm totally forget about it. Process were hard at first but later it become smooth and fast!.

The next day I receive feedback to make the video faster because it's slow. I adjust the timeline and move it into capcut to added the sound effect. Most of the sound effect were find on
Pixabay since it was royalty free and free to download.

Week 08 - Reels Refinement
This week, we focused on our social media content. The design team and admin team reviewed my reels. They give me some feedback that I could add shadow for the hachi hand and increase the opacity of the paper. Arnusha then help me to make the animation smoother. The reels was posted on 14th November in hatcha instagram, indicating that this task is completed.
Week 09 - Meet the Crew Community
By this week, I got assigned into a new task which are "Meet the Community". This post contain 9 grid photos of all student based on their department.
Annika has send me the removed background and color adjusted pictures, so I can start designing. I started with the sketch for positioning the people to make the idea clear. Edita have give me the file for the machine frame she did during week 4/5.

Meanwhile, Edita did the other post to introducing the mascot which is hachi. Actually this was supposed to be other member work but the result she gave to us is bad so we have to re doing it again.

Week 10 - Continue Design Post and Arrange Drive
I continue with meet the crew post by this week. This week I don't progressed much since we are aiming for crowdfunding and promoting merch first. The merch post were done by design team and for crowdfunding, Arnusha helped our team by designed 3 grid post.
This week I focused to organize the drive for exhibitor photo and with my side also. I compile the photo and give a name of it so later I can just import in adobe and send it for design team to be used for booklet.

Week 11 - Meet the Crew Post and BTS Record
I have finished the sketch and also works on the ilustrator for meet the crew and showed it to Arnusha and Edita. They say overall it's good but I need to manage the people size and it need to be coombined based on department.

Then we were planning to post some reels to boost people engagement for instagram. Edita have come up with a few idea for videos and start to shoot it. As for me, I was assigned to record behind the scene video.

Week 12 - Content Shooting and Meet the Crew Post
This week is pretty busy. Altough this week supposed to be public holiday, Media team need to come for recording some content.
During 9-10th December, we have running a booth to promote hatcha event. I need to come and record some content that could be used later on. Below are some things I recorded.

At the next day 11th December, I come to studio to showed the progress on Meet the Crew.

The placement for the people looks okay but I need to reduce the ball opacity at the back. And some people would got cropped so the solution is to make 1 department in 1 post. Arnusha told me to send the post preview and she will help me sketch out the new idea.
Aside from this, we planned on so many content that we need to record for merch promotion and exhibition. I was participated to record some video, took a photo of Annika for promotion and casting for video content. This process was hectic but fun at the same time.

Week 13 - Finalize Meet the Crew Post
This week, Arnusha has provide me her sketches for meet the crew. After I review it, I think that it was great, so I follow her idea and start to make some refinement for my current design.

After it was finalize, I send the final file in the drive and it will be started posting by 22-24th December. Soon after I finished this post, I focused to work on my individual portfolio.
Week 14 - 15 Individual Portfolio Progression
By this week, I focused more to my individual portfolio. I have start to find the creative direction for my portfolio and list down the project content I would like to put inside.

I plan to make the design simple and minimalist so the information could easily scanned and highlighted. Purple is my favourite color so I would like to go with that color.
I have added around 10-11 list of works that I like and divide it to 4 categories. I aim to focused more on UI/UX field so I placed the project in the first place.

Then I started to designing the portfolio. Choosing platform is a hard option for me. I aim to have website and PDF portfolio but there was only short amount of time, so I build my portfolio using canva as it provides good elements and we can publish the slide into website link that could be customize.

Week 16 - Finalize Portfolio, Booklet and A1
This time I fill out the sheet information provided by design team for their booklet content, along with A4 and A1 board that are gonna be displayed later in exhibition.

Around this week, Arnusha have assigned me and edita to assist terence for student intro post. We need to think about cover post, self introduction and the project post design.
Week 17 - Individual Student Intro Post
This time I review some member works and the result was completely bad, so I need to re doing all of it again. This was very frustrating since most of media works were done by me and edita. We can't rely on the rest 3 members which resulting on heavy work load.
I was responsible to take a lead regarding on this student intro. We worked on canva since the platform was more easier and not heavy as ilustrator. I first made the template and showed to edwin for approval.

Once template was done, I start to duplicate and fill out the information starting from graphic design student, then animation and immersive since the specalization only got 1 student.
By this time, I also need to work for introduction and ending post. As my workload is too much already, I give this work to terence. But when I review the result, seems that I should not assign it to her.

This was really a tiring work that I need to and referring from booklet information that combine 2 project into 1 image, I need to reach out for some people to separate their project image and shorten their description. To reduce my workload, I try to give this simple task to the member that do the student intro to duplicate template and fill out only the intro and project title & description.
Again when I check the result, it's super bad and I can't say any words... There's no point to assign task to this member anymore since she never did a good work. I started to rework on her part again until it was finished on 16th January.

Then I inform the updates to Edita and she start posting the introduction. While I finished the post, I started to plan on my booth design since only 1 week left before exhibition.
During 18th January, the team lead give me the account access and I was assigned to post for student section. I made a plan to post every 15 minutes 1 student and divide it by 2 day.

At the end, I uploaded BTS video into drive and assigned Annika to edit the BTS Video.
Week 18 - Booth Planning & Exhibition Day
After I have finished the student intro, I continue to plan my booth design. First thing I did was review back logistic slide and plan my wall design.

Then for the table, this was a crucial since the table is way bigger than I expected. By carefully planning and producing item for printing, I finally manage to do so.

Most of my printing assets were made in Canva. I do want to have net rack decoration in the middle of my 2 laptop. I printed some assets and decorate the net using the wooden clip and bluetack. Beside this, I have made a sticker, business card and portfolio book to be showcased later and snacks to engage with visitor.

For the final, I review through every item, organize the item and bring it during setup day.
Later in exhibition, I showcased, presenting and explained my works for visitor. As media team, I do contribute took BTS Video and update the event in instagram story. At the end of january 2026, it wraps my journey for HATCHA starting from september 2025!

So far this module is the longest and worth it one. During the first week, we need to choose which department we would like to pursue and I pick media as it would lead me dive deeper into graphic design works along with content creator skills that could be added for my experience in my resume. I was working with 4 other teammates which make me learn how teammates work but we can't rely on the 3 members in group which lead me and Edita did the most job together. Luckily Annika did cooperate during the last week.
Other than this working on my portfolio was a very crucial as I want to use this portfolio for applying job and internship. Working on the tight timeline, I finally manage to finish it !
Then for the last part which is exhibition, I planned it just 1-2 weeks before exhibition happened. With some references available and AI help, this exhibition finally come to reality and I was happy when present it and they were enthusiast for it. Some of my friend and family was also there for support which make me grateful for it.
As hatcha finally comes to the end, this marked as the end of being media team member and exhibitor as well. I'm thankful for this module that give me exhibition experience and make me prepared for the future. What I wish that could be improved is by building a website portfolio. Having PDF and Website portfolio ensures we are prepared for any scenario, whether it's a quick, tailored application or a comprehensive, public showcase.
