REFLECTIONS
Experience
Embarking on a series of illustration and animation tasks has been a captivating journey, pushing the boundaries of my creativity and storytelling abilities. All assignment have provided a diverse range of challenges, enabling me to delve into different aspects of visual storytelling.
On the vormator task, it compelled me to think critically about how shapes, lines, and proportions. Next task, the decisive moment was the most challenged task. I choose the story about Okiku Doll. It encouraged a deep dive into narrative illustration. It required careful consideration of composition, color palette, and symbolism to evoke the eerie atmosphere surrounding the Okiku Doll legend. This task highlighted the power of visual storytelling in conveying emotion and creating a connection between the audience and the narrative.
Third task is the continuous from task 2 decisive moment. I got same experience like before to pay attention of composition, color, and storytelling until the last task. On fourth task (Self Titled) involving the creation of a poster representing myself, provided a unique opportunity for introspection and self-expression. Crafting a visual narrative about my identity demanded a blend of creativity and self-awareness. This task reinforced the idea that visual storytelling extends beyond external narratives.
Observation
Throughout these illustration tasks, I observed the significance of careful planning and iteration in the creative process. Each stroke, color choice, and composition decision played a crucial role in conveying the intended message. Additionally, the tasks highlighted the importance of storytelling not only in the content but also in the visual execution, fostering a deeper connection between the audience and the narrative.
Findings
All of these tasks provided a rich and immersive experience in visual storytelling. From exploring the intricacies of form to delving into narrative illustration and personal expression, each task contributed to a broader understanding of the power of visuals in conveying stories and emotions. This journey has not only honed my technical skills but has also deepened my appreciation for the nuanced language of visual narratives.
