INTRODUCTION TO AFTER EFFECTS
1. What is After Effects?
- Adobe After Effects is a 2.5D animation software used for animation, visual effects, and motion picture compositing.
- After Effects is used in film, TV, and web video creation.
- This software is used in the post-production phase, and has hundreds of effects that can be used to manipulate imagery. This allows you to combine layers of video and images into the same scene.

- Adobe After Effects takes a different approach for creating movement.
- Motion graphics animation works by manipulating vector and rasterized art to create and tell a story.
- You can integrate physical based media as well through photographs and videography.

2. Relative Between Adobe Photoshop and After Effects
- Adobe Photoshop : Transforming still images (graphic elements and photography) into moving images.
  • Basically Photoshop is a platform to compositing the layers.
  • All the layers need to be arrange and rename accordingly so that it will be organize and easy to be animated in After Effects.

- Adobe After Effects : Animating layers sequence from various elements and platform.
  • Adobe after effects is a digital visual effects, motion graphics, and compositing application.
  • Basically, we can import elements such as images, video, vector and more into after effects.
  • All the layer elements need to be organized and synchronized to the external software platforms such as Photoshop & Illustration.
  • After Effects files does not embed its media, it links to it.

Below are the video given by Mr Fauzi in google classroom. Also on the class Mr Fauzi had a demo to show up a quick step when using after effects.

4. PRACTICAL
We were given a composition in photoshop to be downloaded and create a simple animation using adobe after effect by following the tutorial in Fig 3.2 Above. After we done the animation, post it on youtube, copy the link and put it on the submission.

At first I started to download the file. Below are the recap of the progress to make the animation :

When do this task, at first i found it hard because i never used after effect so i had lack of experience using it. At the end, it is quite fun to try but the file size is larger than i thought when export it. For the last step, i'm using inshot to put an audio for the mov.

I'm using the audio "Solitude" by Rook1e. After adding sound, I saved the video and uploaded it on youtube short.
