1. LECTURES
Poster Design
- The principles of design are the rules a designer must follow to create an effective and attractive composition.
- A design doesn’t have to strictly follow these rules to be good

- Some absolutely mind-blowing designs ignore one or more of the principles of design in order to create an eye-catching and effective work.

- There are 7 principles of poster design which is :

  1. Emphasis : Referring to the focal point of a design and the order of importance of each element within a design.
  2. Balance & Alignment : The weight of every element (color, size, texture). without balance, audience will feel as if their eye is sliding off the page.
  3. Contrast : "pops" of design. It creates space and difference between elements in your design. Your background needs to be significantly different from the color of your elements so they work harmoniously.
  4. Repetition : Repetition unifies and strengthens a design.
  5. Proportion : Is the visual size and weight/height of elements in a composition and how they relate to each other. It often helps to approach your design in sections, instead of as a whole.
  6. Movement : Is controlling the elements in a composition to led the eye. It creates the story or the narrative of your work.
  7. White Space : Is exactly the empty page around the elements in your composition . White space gave more room to breathe for the elements.

After that, I create new layer and fill it with the color i want in edit menubar. Lastly, Drag the layer mask into the fill colour and repeat it for other things. Below are some behind the scene when making this task.

Following the tutorial, I found a color pallette first and starting to recolour from skin, hair, accesories, clothes, until background. I mostly used linear light and overlay for the blending mode because i want the color look vibrant. Moreover, i also put pattern in the kimono to make it look detailed and colorful. Lastly, I put the green background because it really suits in domain red.
