PROJECT 2 : ANIMATED INSTRUCTABLE POSTER
On the last panel, I would like to add my name and id as a credit of the artwork. Firstly, I'm gonna do it by creating frame in Illustrator one by one.
After I finished all the frame, I started saved it on File - Save as - Check the Box : Save each Artboard to a separate file .
Into the After Effects :
I used all the same effects for the big text (Frame 4 and Closing scene) and I continued to the next frame till I finished it.
I mostly adjust the opacity and the position for the step 1 until 9. For the frame 6 and 13, I had added some new elements which is the white egg after it mixed and the tiramisu after it sprinkled with cacao powder.
Finally, I finished the animation with total of 15 files. For the closing scene, I combined frame 14 and 15 because it related together. I adjust the tiramisu position and put a text on the below.
I combined all the video using InShot and adjust some transition and the time.

Animated Instructable Poster
On this project, we need to create an Animation of our Instructable Poster on Project 1 into a 60 second motion graphic. Capture the aesthetics and narrative of the poster with movement, SFX and music.
Requirement :
- Max 60 seconds, 720p
- Canvas size : 1280 x 720 px (H26/mp4)
- Publish it on Youtube (set to unlisted)
Before we created the storyboard, let's go back to the project 1 first as a preview for the poster.

There are titles, the tiramisu, 5 tools, 8 ingredients and 9 step that we should put it on the animation. To make it easier, we should create the storyboard as the first step.
1. StoryBoard
First, I sketched some storyboard to know how much frame I'm gonna used and the order of every step.

2. Progress
To avoiding problem when exporting the assets, I split 16 frames into 2 frames on each file. More tips from Mr. Fauzi is try to divide every object/elements in different layers.
To make the frame of the animation, I go back to project 1 and used all the elements that i had collected first.

Creating Frame :
Move to the ilustrator, I start moving the assets and adjust the size on it.

Into the After Effects :
I searched on some tutorial to moving AI file into the after effects and here is the tutorial I used.

To do so, Open the After Effects apps and create new composition. Then search file - import or can just drag the file into the AE. ( Import kind : Footage and Merged Layer ) Click OK.Next, right click the file then create - convert to layered comp. Each file are gonna separated into the layer we made in AI.
On the first frame, I'm gonna animate the text like a handwritten effects. I use these tutorial to help me :

To make this effect, create a text first in after effects and use pen tool to recreate the text. Make sure the line is in the middle of the text. After that search effect and presets "Stroke". Check the All masks box and choose reveal original image on paint style. Then adjust the brush size and the "end" transform.

To save the animation, choose file - export - add to render queue - choose the output to - render.

Adding Sound and Effect :
After the video is done, now I moved up to adding sound session. I made some sheet when analyzing the video to make it easier what sound i would like to add.

For the Background Music, I searched in YouTube with the keyword aesthetics lo-fi/cozy music. I'm using "Happy White Day" Available on YouTube below :

By using InShot, i got some sound effect recommendation on it. When the sound are not available, I searched on YouTube and download it to MP3.

Finished the editing, I saved the video and posted it on YouTube. I put some credit for the description.

Specific Feedback : There were no feedback on this project because we focused on the final project progress. For my group, the graphic and storyboard looks good and we need to include data and the text for the main point to describe the graphics.

Specific Feedback : No feedback on this project because we focused on the final project progress. For my group, there were good progression and make sure the artwork had same style from beginning to the end. Kindly put more data and little explanation.
REFLECTIONS
Experience
Creating an animated instructable infographic for making classic tiramisu was an engaging and enlightening experience. From the initial concept which is the storyboard, making frame, animating until finishing by sound effect. Every step of the process presented unique challenges and opportunities for creativity. For example, when making the frame, we need to pay attention with the layer and objects. We had to divide it so we could animate the object that we want.
Observation
I realized that we need to keep tracking on every step and the progress. On this project, there were many step until the final result. There were making concept, illustrating, animating and adding sound & music. By maintaining consistency in style and making some notes, I could progressing smoothly.
Findings
Through this project, I found that animation is quiet difficult at first. I had to discovered more tutorials when do this project. From making written effect, adjust the position and etc, many keyframe were used to made the object moving. On the other hand, It is good that i could discover and learn more about making the animation. It gave challenging and rewarding feelings.
